About Me

About Me

I am a born and raised city dweller (Hamilton, ON) who moved to small town central Ontario (Orillia, ON), before moving to Peterborough. I have a diverse array of personal experiences that flavour my social work practice.

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Social Work (HBSW) from Lakehead University, and am a Masters of Social Work Candidate at the University of Windsor. My professional background is in Adult Mental Health in a number of settings including forensics, psychiatric inpatient care, adult corrections, and community hospital care.

I provide trauma-informed care with a direct, and honest approach. Should your needs be outside of my scope or skill set, or we happen to not be a good fit, I am happy to refer you to a clinician who can better address your needs. I am a Certified Capacity Assessor with the Ministry of the Attorney General in Ontario. Among the services I provide are capacity and bio-psycho-social-cultural assessments, systems navigation, Solutions-Focused Brief therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am pleased to utilize adaptive means of communication such as eco-maps, drawing, and written word.

My areas of skill include suicide and self-injury assessment and intervention, harm reduction, policy & procedure development, and advocacy work.
